About
Me: Emigrated in '73 with my wife and two children. The reason?
Too many rainy days, diminishing work prospects and guzumpin.
Where I Live: In the Niagara peninsular amidst the growing town
of Grimsby where there's rainy days, diminishing work prospects and
gazumpin ( just kidding). Its a good place to live if you can keep the
government from paving over it. At the moment the winery business is
booming.
Where I Work: I work at the nearby Hamilton bus co as an electrician.
Where I Come From: The Rhondda! Treorchy (now it seems the bottle
neck of all traffic jams).
What I Miss: The mountains, hill walking, watching the lurchers
run. The ability to watch Rugby at any pub (it always rained at the
match). The then growing artist community. The loud "goodnight
buty" which accompanied tired miners boots clomping their way home
after their shifts. Then the silence. And I miss the fact that everyone
new everyone else - sometimes to the extreme.
