Canada map : home

About Me: I am a fluently Welsh speaking, retired school teacher. I married an east Indian Electrical engineer,so when he made a career move to Canada our son and I followed.I love all things Welsh.I love the spoken word . Hobbies, travelling, gardening my dogs and my "genuine"Indian cooking. I love meeting people of every race.

Where I Live: I live in a small town 5 miles North of Toronto. It still has a small town atmosphere, yet near enough for theatre etc. The greatest difference here is that I grew up in a totally Welsh speaking area in Wales. Also there are no eisteddfodau!

Where I Work: I have retired after teaching for over 25 years in elementary schools here.

Where I Come From: I was born in Croesgoch, Pembrokeshire West Wales. The sea was always nearby wherever I went. The sight and smell is always in my heart.I remember competing at the eisteddfodau, the gymanfaoedd canu, and the humour.

What I Miss: I miss my many friends, the freedom of speaking my native tongueand free access to Welsh literature; AND I miss the sea and the culture of the country.
